State Roller Derby Tournament 2017

PHOENIX, ARIZONA – Arizona Roller Derby will be hosting this year’s Arizona State Roller Derby Conference, November 18-19 at Ability360, located at 5025 E. Washington St in Phoenix.
2017 year marks the 7th year that leagues across the state of Arizona gather to battle it out for the title of the best in the state. In 2011 and 2012, the Bad News Beaters were the State Champions. 2013 and 2014, saw the Surly Gurlies claim the title of State Champions. The past two years, 2015 and 2016, the Copper Queens of Tucson Roller Derby have enjoyed the title of State Champions. Over the years our conference has grown, this year there will be eight teams competing to claim that title.
Arizona Roller Derby has three teams competing: the Bad News Beaters, Skate Riot Project, and the Surly Gurlies. Tucson Roller Derby will also be bringing three teams this year: the Copper Queens, the Furious Truckstop Waitresses, and the VICE Squad. Out of Prescott, Northern Arizona Roller Derby is sending the Whiskey Row-llers. Hailing from the pines of Flagstaff, High Altitude Roller Derby is sending the Dark Sky Starlets.
Arizona Roller Derby is also featuring a finale bout between their home teams for bragging rights. This season, the Brawlarinas and the Gaudylupes have traded wins. Who will rise to the challenge and seize the final win? You’ll have to join us on November 18th to see our athletes battle it out.

Admission to the tournament for the entire weekend is $40. Single day admission is $25. Tickets to the final game on Saturday or Sunday are $15 each. Tickets for the tournament are available through http://azrd.brownpapertickets.com/ EMTs and the first child under 6 are free, additional children are $6 each, as are members of the military.
